Threema joins the HMD Secure ecosystem to elevate confidential communication for mission-critical operations
HMD Secure, HMD’s subsidiary focused on mission-critical solutions, has expanded its European partner ecosystem with a new strategic collaboration with Threema, the market leader for secure, privacy-first communication. Together, the companies are bringing a new standard of confidential, compliant and sovereign communication to organisations that cannot compromise on security.
Threema Work, the professional communication platform from Threema, will come preloaded on selected HMD Secure devices, including the newly unveiled compact and rugged HMD Terra M. The integration strengthens the end-to-end security chain for customers who operate in high-assurance environments such as government ministries, defence organisations, public administrations and critical infrastructure providers.
Threema Work follows a strict zero-knowledge architecture and provides complete end-to-end encryption for messages, groups, voice calls and file transfers. Organisations can choose full on-premises hosting or keep all data within European jurisdictions, ensuring that sensitive information stays within controlled environments.
For HMD Secure customers, this collaboration offers a secure communication layer that is preloaded. It reinforces HMD’s commitment to building sovereign, trusted and transparently sourced devices that give organisations long-term control over their mobility strategy.
